I have been having a fantastic week at Miss Nebraska so far!! I have so much to share but only so little time before I fall asleep from exhaustion! Haha! Here goes!
Sunday:
Sunday morning we all checked in at the Airport Inn in North Platte for a lunch where were were surprised with a visit from Miss America! (she wasn't supposed to be in til later in the week!)
After the lunch, we all headed over to the mall for introductions in front of the public! I got a few snap shots of the contestants as well as my little sisters Madison and Maggie!! :)

Jessica and Kati winning the community service awards! I was so so happy to be there for Jessica winning my brother's memorial scholarship for 1st runner up in community service! I couldn't have picked a better girl for it!

Sunday and Monday were full of rehearsals after the mall intros, and we got a lot done! I had the chance to practice my talent on stage (twirling with lights and curtains above me takes some getting used to!) I am glad to say all of the rehearsals went well!
Monday night there was a picnic! So much fun!
Tuesday:
Tuesday were the interviews! I always hope that above all else, I can come out of my interview having said everything that I wanted to say and I always hope that i showed the judges what I am all about and exactly who I am. I am so happy to say that is exactly how I came out of my interview! (not to mention I got told me outfit looked like something Rachel Berry would wear, SCORE!) :)
Wednesday was the first night of preliminary competition! But first, we had a Rotary luncheon!
Now for the big news! Wednesday night I was named the Saphire Group Preliminary Talent Winner!! I was honored to have won a $500 scholarship for the award! I couldn't be happier to have won! Talent is the whole reason my family got involved in pageants so it is great to have made them proud last night! :)
Tonight (Thursday) was yet another night of preliminaries! I competed in the swimsuit and onstage question categories tonight and felt I did my personal best in both! Now I am DONE with preliminary competition and I definitely celebrated with Runza fries!
Of course I also got to see my family, my friends, and my man after the show which made is all worth it! :)
Now it is up to the judges and I can't wait for Saturday night's final competition to find out who the new Miss Nebraska is!!
